Sometimes a doctor's training or experience enables him to offer additional options or better perspective on a medical condition.

Dr. Glen Goodman is always available for second opinions. Prior to preceding with cataract, glaucoma or LASIK surgery, it is always good to get a second opinion.  It is always the patient's right to seek a second opinion, and by doing so it does not necessarily mean that the patient is unhappy with the care provided by their initial ophthalmologist. 

 

Often times a second opinion will corroborate the initial diagnosis or surgical recommendation.  On occasion, however, other options may be provided in the course of the second opinion consultation.  Dr. Goodman is always happy to see patient's for second opinions and is happy if the patient desires to be in communication with the patient's original ophthalmologist.  Second opinions are almost always covered by the patient's insurance.
